About Us

Luke and Matt met several years ago while working at The Future Perfect, and had always dreamed of renovating and designing a vacation home.

They purchased this five-acre property in 2019 and spent a year making some big changes to the interior, exterior, and even the original homestead cabin built in the 1940s. They vaulted the ceilings, added new doors and windows, gutted the bathroom and kitchen, and designed the outdoor features to help guests enjoy the stars and views of the national park.

Their aim was to make every detail exciting, while keeping the space approachable, relaxing, and utilitarian enough to handle the rugged desert landscape. Throughout the project, Luke and Matt loved imagining all the details through the eyes of their future guests. During your stay, please think of the Yucca Hut as your cozy desert home away from home.
